THE BUTCHER BOX pies are made in Malaga, from scratch — our butchers dice the same premium beef we sell as steak, slow-braise it with fresh herbs and a proper stock, then hand-fold it into a golden shortcrust with a puff-pastry lid. Every pie is a two-person meal on its own, or a hearty single-serve with a green salad.
Our range rotates six flavours seasonally. Chunky steak is our best-seller — big cubes of Australian beef braised in gravy, no pea-and-corn filler. Traditional beef mince is the classic bakery style — coarse-ground beef, onion, gravy, hand-crimped. Lamb & rosemary uses the same grass-fed lamb we sell as racks and chops — slow-cooked shoulder, fresh rosemary, red wine. Chicken & leek is the lighter option for a weeknight — free-range chicken breast, leek, tarragon, cream. Steak & Guinness is a proper pub-style pie for a cold Perth winter night. Butter chicken pie is our home-Perth spin on a takeaway classic.
Every pie is flash-frozen at the point of packing so the pastry keeps its structure and the filling doesn't weep on thaw. 200°C oven for 20 minutes from frozen — no defrosting, no fuss, dinner on the table before the kids finish homework.
